Filling a large bowl eg a mixing basin and filling it with boiling water is great if you then lean over it with a towel over your head. It is great at shifting mucus in nose, throat and chest. It eases things making it much more comfortable. If your nose is really blocked you can put a few drops of menthol in. (But not too much as it can sting a bit).

You need to do this for at least 10mins at a time.

Also if you have a cough, simple linctus is mega cheap and just as good as a lot of cough mixtures for easing your throat.

Still, steam is really hard to beat as a remedy.

Hope this helps.

Boil water pour it into a bowl and put a towel over your head (also good for the skin) and drink orange juice and have some tissues handy

You can warm some red wine up, it'll taste a little nasty at first but you'll feel better. Don't forget the chicken noodle soup.

Rest and fluids. There is no cure for a cold, just time.

I would have to agree....rest and plenty of fluids. If you have a fever or/and sore throat...try some rum with lemon juice....Hope you feel better!
