He needs professional help, and fast. This isn't something you can fix for him, or that he can fix on his own. Urge him to go to his doctor and talk about his condition - his doctor can recommend medication or therapy that will alleviate his symptoms.

Knowing the signs is good way to tell, but when a person truly intends to end their life, they usually don't tell anyone. They will act happy because they know it is soon going to end. I think you should try and get him to talk to you more about it, and if you feel something is still wrong, and I think there is, take him to the hospital or keep him around you where you can watch what he is doing.

you wanna support him??? tell him to grow the ***** up... you wanna support him??? tell him to just do it and see if you care.. why should you allow yourself to be so useless to actually try and lift him up in mental health when this is something he has to do himself.. tough love is what you do with another in the time of need when it comes to suicide.. If you lean towards " oh you poor thing" how will he ever recover on his own??? he wont and will be dependent on you for every breath he takes.. Is that real love or co dependency speaking? I think it's co dependency, think about it...

maybe he really wants your attention. Do you really want to be stuck with this guy who's gonna bring you down? Wouldnt you want a confident exciting guy who's not threatening to jump of a building or slit his wrists for no good reason? The dude needs help, you can give him help by contacting a professional but heneeds to want it. Otherwise leave the guy he's not gonna do you any good

well , I have had episodes myself, If he really truly want to kill him self, you feel he is in danger you should tell that this act on trying to kill him self is very selfish, ask him does he really want to hurt the people around him? for one it is an act of sin. let him know that, even if he is not religious , that will stick in the back of his mind. if this continues call a suicide line and hand the phone to him.

ive been through depression
and whatever was wrong with him still is....usually one thing will make you depressed but when that one thing combines with like 10 little things thats when you become suicidal.......
he needs counceling or someone he can really talk to
if you dont understand this, then dont pretend to cause this will only seem to him as if you dont care.

you really need to tell someone..
if you don't do anything about it and he does end up committing suicide you are going to really regret having known and not taking any action.
it's better to be safe than sorry especially in a circumstance of someone's life.
he may be mad at you at first but you are really doing what's right for him

Talk to his family and maybe you all can see what can be done to help him get over his suicide thoughts.
