My friend told me that prenatal vitamins make your hair and nails and skin look better. Is that true? My mom said that they do, but that they may also increase your appitite. Is that true? I'm not pregnant. I just wanted to take them for beauty purposes, energy purposes and immunity puposes.

if you want to enhance the growth of your hair and nails, they would help, but prenatals are not the only ones out there that you can take. If you go to GNC (they are everywhere) they have a really good formula called "Hair, skin and nails" that has the right stuff in it to make the collagen necessary for all these three areas. Among the ingredients are:
Biotin, calcium, b-vitamins, vitamin C, gelatin, etc, that will help your hair and nails grow, keep your skin healthy and give lots of shine to you hair. I hope this helps.

Also check out at www.quixtar.com, their vitamins are great, I've taken hair, skin, and nails and loved it! Pretty much any vitamins you take (I take one a day) will help with your hair and nails. Vitamin E is known for being good for skin.
