Forget stone. It's not used in Canada. As to whether use lbs or kilos, for the most part it depends on the age of the person you're talking to. I'm 60, learned imperial measurements in school with just very basic metric. I still think in imperial today and when I see an item in kilos I tend to convert it back to pounds. I do the same for liquid measurements and temperature as well. Canada has converted almost entirely over to the metric system over the past 35 years or so. Most people between the ages of 35 and 50 would be comfortable with either lbs or kilos and anybody under 35 would be more familiar with kilos.
