Even after reading Bettierage, I don't think that all atheist women are angry.

Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

Thank you darkness, you make lightness that much more fulfilling.
Life would be boring if there were no opposites. In fact there would be no life, Life itself is borne of the struggles of two or more opposing forces joining to create a new way of transferring energy more efficiently! Within our religious differences and struggles, lies a much better nation waiting to emerge.

That they're a kind, compassionate person who does not try to impose his or her beliefs on others. Unfortunately, "many" in the "family values" crowd try to justify actions that do harm to others by covering it up with disingenuous professions of love ("love the sinner, hate the sin").

"Their conviction is praiseworthy."

Deep down we all are the same. and want the same things for our loved one.
We all want to have a happy family and good life, and we all are human and make mistakes, and along with that misunderstand each others at times.

This may not constitute as something nice, but it will lead to a nice thought of others, and hence understanding.

I have deep respect for people who have other religions (that don't involve hurting anyone) who are able to stick faithfully to all the religious observances and who are able to explain their faith without sounding like they are trying to force it on you.

I agree, I've had lots of friends who hold much different beliefs than I do. If they weren't great people they wouldn't have been my friends.

Yes, because they are part of a slim minority who practice "turning the other cheek" to the constant barrage of atheist barbs here.

Nice back-handed compliment... :-)

I love my Atheist friends' knowledge of politics and government.

One of my best friends is an awesome Atheist guitar player.

Another friend of mine is a Jewish guitar player.

I may be 'Christian', but I'm also human.

Yes, I like Father K too, he's one of the few (Christians) on here that seems like a normal person. Same with Myaloo, she's nice. :-)

I also like many Atheists on here..too many to be named.

Though I rarely agree with him, Doug is usually very kind and respectful in his posts (well at least the ones I've seen lol).
