I don't think you understand. These people are not another race. They are descended from Adam and Eve just like the rest of us.
The sons of god refer to people who live according to gospel God had given them. In the context of before the flood, the daughters of men refer to people (women) who do not follow the precepts that God has given.
The giants in the land just refers to people who were extraordinarily bigger. A genetic thing just like we have today. Some people are genetically larger in stature that others. Goliath was called a giant simply because he grew to be so big and tall. About 9ft I think. While this is extremely unusual, it is not unheard of even today. The tallest man in recent history was 8ft 11in. It's caused by an over active pituitary gland which produces too much growth hormone.

yes just like some men are large today but the difference is those had human mothers and angel fathers.
They were not all human. As such had special powers and were not match for a normal man.
It says they were the ones from long ago. Possiblely Hercules or some other greek gods.
They did however all die in the flood, they still couldn't survive being drowned. The wicked angels had to leave their human bodies to survive. In human form they would have drowned.

Carol is actually correct. The Nephilim were descendents of the children of Noah. No, they were not half angels, nor any other strange kind of beings. They were human beings with certain characteristics. If today to go to the Sudan and hang out with the Dinka tribe, you will find that they are Nephilim because they are genetically disposed to be very tall. Some families in every community are considerably taller than others. For my own family, we are a kind of anti-Nephilim I would guess since we are all altitude challenged.

The bible is clear that only Noah, his wife, his three son's and three daughter in-laws were the only survivors.
The Nephilim did not survive the flood.
When the Hebrews left Egypt and went into Canaan they were shock how big and strong the tribal men appeared and refereed to them as Nephilim, meaning very tall man.
If you remember your bible stories the Philistine’s Goliath (from a cannanite tribe) was described in this fashion.

Because it was still in the genes of Noah's family. In fact, it is believed that Noah himself was a giant. When one studies the feasability of Noah's ark, it seems that those who built it were very tall and very strong, plus he lived for hundreds of years. The pre-flood atmosphere would have been conducive to produce giant people and animals, including dinosaurs. Today's atmosphere cannot sustain giants, so they often don't live past 30.

The Nephilium were giants from very early biblical times, existing both before and after the sons of God came to be with the daughters of men. These two groups, the sons of God and the daughters of men, were quite different. The sons of God were descendants of Seth who called on the name of the Lord, and the daughters of men were the descendants of Cain (Cain who commit the first murder in Genesis when he killed Abel) who founded much of what we would call secularization. Once the merger of these two lineages happened, these Giants become heroes of legendary proportions. Nevertheless, the world became continually evil in every imagination, and God sent a flood to cleanse the Earth, the same flood that Noah endured.

They didn't.
Noah was selected because he was "pure in his generations", in other words, he was genetically 100% descended from Adam and Eve.
The Bible says in Gen 6:4 that "There were giants in the earth in those days; and also after that . . ."
The "also after that" refers to the time following the flood when the same thing occurred and giants again were born.

Giants may have been men who were tall, but it also MAY have meant men who were very important. I think that "nephilim" simply meant tall people. But the thing is, it's a genetic trait that Noah's sons and/or daughters-in-law must have carried, just like the traits for red hair and pale skin, black hair and dark skin, green eyes... you get the idea.
