since then I've been with 1 employer for the last 3 years and with an excellent standing. But its in a different line of job. My old boss hated me and I know will give negative comments though during the background process.

Yes. They will not check with all of the employers. Only your last one and then your references along with a in-depth background check. The background check is the biggest aspect of the process, if you have a clean driving and criminal record you will still have a good chance at the job.

There is a guy on the police force that tried to committ suicide and has threatened my wife. He was fired from one police force in a different state now he is a cop in this state. Scary.
