Translation:

And yes it is french but from around 1200 so its had time to evolve!

ok um nicely i do not talk fluent french yet i'm reading it. i'd manage to help out yet I doubt i am going to do a lot good. A petits pas A petits pas de souris - something about mice? Sur le tapis - on the table Patapi ! Patapi ! - The sound a mouse makes? A tres grands pas de geant - an rather great... something Dans les champs - contained in the ... something Patapan ! Patapan ! The sound it makes A tres gros pas d'elephant - an rather gruesome elephant Dans le vent - contained in the fairway Badaban ! Badaban ! - The sound an elephant makes A tres petits pas d'enfant - an rather small infant Petipas ! Petipas - The sound a baby makes Yeah, it doens't make a lot sense.. I think you need to check the spelling - changing the first line to Je Non.... gives:

Hm... that looks like Old French to me. It's not modern French, definitely.
The third line looks like "mais par effort, il fait chanson" which would mean "with effort, he makes/sings a song", but the rest means very little to me, I'm afraid. You need an expert in Old French.
