Tom, this can become a serious addiction that takes over your life but you can be free ... you've made the first and most important step, reaching out. Find an accountability partner whom you trust or a counsellor experienced in this. Install covenant eyes on your computer if you must have one for work/school and if not, cut the internet off. Here's the link to this site. http://www.covenanteyes.com/ Cut cable off and/or block out all adult channels. When you feel the urge, resist and purposely do something else such as exercising, journal writing, phoning your accountability partner ...

I wish you the best fo luck for freedom, you can do it.

How to avoid porn addiction on the Internet

1. Consider installing porn content filtering software( Strongly Recommend NetDog Porn Filter, you can get it from www.netdogsoft.com ) on your computer. it will help to protect you from stumbling into pornography by accident, That's important.

2. Do not try to guess what the address of a Web page is. Many pornographic sites have similar addresses of respectable sites. For example www . whitehouse . com is a porn site. The real address is www. whitehouse . gov

3. Never click on Web site addresses that you receive in an unsolicited email.

4. Do not open attachments that come in email that are unsolicited.

5. Use filtered search engines or reputable directories to find the information you need.

6. Do not search for terms like girls. Think before you enter a search term.

Stick with reputable sites.
If something looks questionable, don't let curiosity get the best of you. Delete it or close the window.

chances are, it's not that you find the act distasteful yourself, or else you would not be doing it.

if you hold you poke yourself with a pin, you find the act undesirable, and you jerk your hand away. whereas one who enjoys the act of body piercing would find the sensation enjoyable, and would press through until they had breached their flesh.

a lot of times, when a person joins or is raised with religion, they find that a good portion of their desires or interests fall in conflict with their new set of "beliefs".

the problem with this is that the pressure to change certain behaviors then comes from outside influence, and not from within us.

work toward getting to the point where you are not so hard on yourself for your interest in these sorts of behaviors, and you will most likely end up getting bored with it.

feeding addiction is most often a means of bringing pleasure to yourself to counteract the guilt you are feeling for engaging in the activity to begin with.

take the guilt out of the equation, and you might find that you don't require that stimulation so much. this will help your depression, which in turn you might find will remedy the laziness you seem to be experiencing.

i can guarantee you there is no scientific explanation for laziness resulting from masturbation, except perhaps a temporary dip in testosterone levels, but i know several women that are far from lazy, so i doubt that's a contributing factor!

odds are it is the depression and the inability to forgive yourself that is making you lethargic.

i hope this helps.

Every addiction is hard to end.
The only thing for it is to keep not watching it. Go for a jog, do something active to deal with the sexual energy.
