i am running mandriva one free with kde and wine

go to madriva's help forums. but, if you are trying to install windows compatible software on linux, it's not going to work.

This needs to be done from a terminal session.
You can mount the CD with the command:
mount /media/cdrom
to run the setup with wine use:
wine ./setup.exe
To mount the CD you may need to be root and the mount point (the directory you are mounting on) may not be called cdrom so check first.
To use the wine command you need to be in the same directory where the setup.exe program is.

Put the CD in and the CD icon will appears on the desktop. Click on this to view the contents of the CD.

For someone new to Linux I recommend Ubuntu Linux Download it at http://www.ubuntu.com. Once you have the CD burned, restart your computer with the Cd in the drive and follow the instructions.
