In my opinion, no. I think that if you really care for that person you should respect them enough and wait until marrige that way you know your feelings. Why waste yourself on someone you may break-up with or are not completely sure about...

I think that everyone's reason is valid....they may or may not regret it but that's up to them and we shouldn't project our own versions of morality onto others.

---edit----

Let me clarify ...whatever reason someone chooses to engage in premarital sex justifies it...whether it's emotional, physical, or intellectual attachment. Doesn't matter....Sex is a physical action. It has no more ties to marriage then taking out the garbage. The idea that premarital sex is bad is a biblical response. That's not applicable to everyone as much as some would like to think. However, sex (for some) does have emotional and physical ramifications...and people shouldn't engage in it before they are prepared to handle it. So, I worry more about those that have sex when they are teens not because they are not married but because many do so without proper birth control and they are without a doubt less able to care for the child then if they were older...very selfish behaviour in my eyes.

People now view their bodies, and the bodies of other people as "cars" to be test driven by a number of other people. They have failed to realize that their bodies contain their heart, soul, emotions. We're all just cars to test drive now.
Cars that spread AIDS, herpes, warts, STD's and unwanted pregnancies, and when they're used, they get a trade-in.

That's up to the person making the decision. It's not up to anyone else to judge.

It's not for me. But others may disagree.
