I feel guilty about that constantly. I have come to realize that guilt is just part of being a mom.

You should not feel guilty, sometimes you need a break. Just be lucky you have someone close to you to watch your baby now and then. My family is 4 hours away so I do not get to take breaks. If I had the chance I would have my sister watch my son for a few hours so me and my husband can spend some time together. When you do have someone watch your child, do not feel guilty, enjoy the peace because sometimes that is all you get.

Absolutely!! When I had my son my husband finally talked me into going out when he was about 6 months old. I called to check on him like every 20 minutes. Finally, my mother-in-law said they were trying to go to bed and I was waking him up. I know you can feel horrible but you need a little time for yourself every once in a while. In my opinion, the mothers that drop their kids off every weekend to go out are the ones you need to worry about.

Yes, I used to feel that way. Now, though, a trip to the grocery store by myself is like a mini-vacation.

I feel guilty about something or other at least seven times a day. At least.
Someone mentioned it being part of motherhood...ok...but I'm still not used to it.
So to answer your question, yes!

Totally normal but when you realize that a break for you and time for your baby to interact with someone new is all good :) Enjoy it....You'll start to look forward to times when you don't have to take your kids shopping or anywhere with you. LOL! :)
