ok so my hair was dyed, dark brown on the top and the bottom black..i wanted to change the top part (the brown) to a dark blonde, so i used a haircolor remover, which turned my hair orange but not quite enough, so then i went back to the store to get another box and they had no more, so i bought the bleaching system from feria...and my hair is ORANGE with my tips being almost platium. I don't know what to do, and I really don't feel like wearing a hat when i go out. Any low budget suggestions?

I recommend dying your hair back to a darker color rather than re-bleaching. Chances are, if you apply more bleach you will burn your hair severely which may cause breakage and extreme dryness.

Sorry to hear what happened. You may want to end up going to a Sally's Beauty Supply. Check the internet to see if you have one in you area, if not try to find something similar to a hair store that some professionals shop at. With you coloring your hair, it may be a little dry. With this bleaching system, was it already pre-mixed or did you have to do it yourself? If it was, it should have still been ok. When using chemicals you have to time what you are doing. Before you put the product in your hair, you should have done a strand test. The strand test lets you know how long to leave the product in your hair. Now, the only thing about this is that your hair will process fast if a high volume developer was used with the bleach. If it was, thats why your hair processed the way it did. If not, your hair was very porous(absorbs quickly). (Also, what your natural hair color, that plays apart to with the color remover.) You want to get your hair a little lighter than orange. Almost a light orange, but not light, like a medium/light. When you apply the color, it should color to the desired look. Even with your tips platinum, the hair color should absorb into the hair shaft and deposit the color. Just make sure you leave the color on for about 20 to 25minutes or depending on the manufactures instructions. You may also want to put on a plastic cap, this helps the color process too (with the heat from your head). If you still are not, sure there should be a local beauty school in you area, again get on the internet and do some research. If there is a school just go in and talk with one of the instructors. These instructors are trained cosmetologists and some of them know what there doing. They me able to fix your problem at the school for probably $30 or less. Hope this helps.

I just went through that!!!! I looked like a copper top battery, refused to leave the house....sounds like yo need to break down and go to the hair dresser and get an all over color to cover it...I know you said low budget but I ended up spending way more money trying to fix it my self..it was awful...
the problem is the really light parts will turn greenish if you put on a store dye and the copper part will still show through...you need to make an appt.....put your bandanna on for a few days or get a good hat till yo can get an apppt....quit doing things to it yourself it will just get worse...I feel bad for you...it really stinks to have tangerine head!!!!!

I have used a color remover before when my roots came out lighter than the rest of my hair and it turned mine orange too.I think that the only answer is to apply color. I would use something gentle since bleaching dries your hair out. I like Natural Instincts. It is semi-permanent, but lasts just as long as any permanent color I have tried. And I have used almost every one on the market!

Feria has a customer service number on the back of the box. They're experts, so let them know your situation and ask them they're opinion on what other color you can use and what your options are. If that doesn't work, your best bet (yet a little bit more costly) is just to go to a professional.
