Wait ...
Is your system automatically going into safe mode or are instructing the system to enter safe mode.
Normally when you set a system to run in safe mode you are to manually sort the issue out. For example you may go into safe mode to manually remove a corrupt file.
Certainly on XP hence I would assume ME, when you run safe mode a pop-up appears concerning Windows Diagnostic, this is a programme designed to fix errors.
However as I stated safe mode is a one way tickets to destroying your system if you are not totally sure what you are doing.
If you have a problem with your system please either:
â Tell us the problems so we can offer advise
â Ring technical support for your model ie. Dell support for Dell's
â Take your system to a shop / professional
If your system is however running safe mode automatically there is room for concern, which normally results in corrupt files or drivers not responding.
You may need to re-install the driver or modify / remove the "problem" files.
I hope this helps.

once you get to the desktop in safe mode - you may notice everything is bigger or smaller -
right click on any background section and click properties
a window should pop up - titled - Display Properties
then click on the Settings tab
in here - slide the Screen resolution to the size your monitor is
and click the Apply button
then - click on the drop down arrow in the Color quality section
and set it to a different setting - you might have to play around with this (or try setting again after rebooting your computer)
click the Apply button
then click OK
next - it should ask to restart your computer - click yes
if it doesn't - then restart your computer

I don't fully understand the question. Does your comp automatically start in safe mode? If so, try going to run, type in msconfig, boot.ini and make sure that the safeboot box is unticked.

hold down the shift key ( I think) while starting up. This will get you to a startup screen. Deselect safe mode and continue.

It means there is a problem with one or more drivers, usually just rebooting will fix it. If not then removing all drivers, and rebooting will reinstall all of the drivers.
