Ortona, is a small rural community on the banks of the Caloosahatchee River in Glades County Florida. It has a state recreation area at the Ortona Locks where fishing is a very popular pass time. There also is a public boat ramp fishing dock and campground. The area is home to the annual Ortona Cane Grinding Festival. There are many beautiful oak filled home sites and acreage properties in this area and it's potential for growth is great as it lies between highways 27 and 80. Recently the market has begun to level off with prices remaining stable and in some cases starting to drop.
