Must use *soft soap* on a wet paper wipe. it makes less of a noise. Must attend to the quietness rules at all times. I do believe, however, it could be wrapped round a stone.

The fact that it is the PUBLIC LIBRARY should tell you something. It would be nice if everyone considered the needs of their fellow library users, but sadly this is not always the case. When you are running a private library, you may have a rule about personal hygiene and be in a position to impose this on the offender, but until then, take your books home to read, or sit somewhere else!

If someone smells and you know them, it's one thing. To approach a complete stranger to tell them that they stink is not only offensive, but unneccessary. Move away or just hold your breath. It's not worth the trouble that might come out of notifying them-and remember, it is a public library. They have as much of a right to be there as you do.

The kindess thing to do, is to tell them quietly that they wiff a bit.
It is not an offensive thing to do, but it can be embarrassing for them.
But it is far better to tell someone quietly, than for them to get a reputation for always wiffing.

Even if you don't work in the library, it is still kind to tell them quietly. If you could honestly say a similar thing happened to you some time ago, all the better.

Whisper to them something like "Honey, you need to take a bath," or just say that they are a bit wiffy.

I wonder if we go to the same library? There's always these four guys and they're really loud and obnoxious, all four of them STINK of sweat but there's no telling them because they're from like mozambique or something and they don't understand a word of English. They're always hogging the internet.

Most libraries that I've ever been in have had seats in all sections. I would simply sit far away from that person. If you continue doing so, the person may get the hint.

There's a book called "When a Gene makes you Smell Like a Fish". Casually drop that on their table.
