I don't have a pet but would love one!
But whenever i'm at dog shows, all the dogs come up to me and seem to love me!?! Why do they do this?
P.S. my fav animal is dogs, then rabbits, then penguins.

lol dogs love me too. when ever i go over to my friends house. all there dogs come to me and they stick with me the whole time and everytime. they say i "steel" there dogs. lol. i am a dog lover and they are my favorite breed. and i thinkt hat the reason why is because u give them attention and they dont get to see u everyday. like with the people they live with.

I would LOVE to know the answer to this. My husband calls me the animal whisperer, lol! I have always loved animals and whenever I visit someone who has a pet (even the ones who are normally apprehensive or standoffish) their pet always takes to me. Whether it be a bird, cat, dog, lizard - you name it. We have two dogs and six hamsters - I would have a lot more, but things would soon turn pretty "wild" in the house, and we both work, which would cut down on everyone's quality pet time. They are my family! I wouldn't trade them for anything.
Oh, I forgot to mention, the neighbor's dogs (they also have 2) kept digging under the fence to come over here to our house, lol! That was a constant thing, and they at one time considered giving them to me because of it. We fixed it, so they are safely contained, but I miss playing with them. :)

before you commit to a life with a pet.
Baby sit one- Ask your friend to borrow the dog for the weekend.
Or watch their animals for a holiday week.
That is great way to KNOW if its time for a pet.
You lose a lot of personal freedom when you get a pet.
So be prepared for that. Also- potty training is a real pain.

Maybe cause dogs can sense that you like them. Thats why they go up to you all the time. Dogs can sense when you like them and when you are affraid of them.

maybe they just like the way u smell. or the way u act around them or maybe because they see u as a dominate figure you never no wat there thinkin it wouyld be cool if we did know huh
