Possible. I trim my beard regularly, and if I can't make it to the barber, I attach a comb to my beard trimmer and get the hair off my ears.

Shaving your own head is not always the best solution. A specialist my platoon was about to send to PLDC decided to go hardcore and cut all his hair off. He showed up at morning formation with his remaining hair in stripes from where he missed with the razor. We managed to get him first in line when the barber shop opened and he just barely made his bus to Baumholder.

You can, but I don't know how nice it will look when you're done. There's a product that sells, through mail order, from both Harriett Carter (www@harriettcarter.com) and Carol Wright (www@carol wright.com). It's a silver brush/ comb device that the user just puts through their hair. When they comb it, it cuts it.
