i can handle myself. my self esteem and confidence leads me through life and i surround myself with good people with good intentions who reciprocates the love and care i have for them. i don't need a god. i don't need false security and the feeling that i'm important from an imaginary made up thing. i can create that myself with bonds with the people i care about.

I don't need a god. Magical gods do not explain the unexplainable. I accept that some things are not known yet... but no god.

I don't believe in god anymore but I wish I could. Logically I can't, but as you come to the end of your life it would be nice to think there is something else rather than your existence just ending (and when a loved one dies, wouldn't it be nice to think they're going to a wonderful paradise where you can see them again?). Sadly, I think many people use god as an excuse to do horrible things and feel superior to others. Most of the worst crimes against humanity were caused because of a misguided belief in god. The holocaust? The crusades? Suicide bombers, most wars, etc.

This brings to mind the prodigal son who left home with similar thoughts.
When the money ran out this son returned home.
The amazing part is the attitude of the dad. He showered that son with love inspite of previous huffiness.
God will accept you, too.

Right on! That's a good way to put it. I think a lot of atheists will agree that this is the "best" way to live.

Why are atheists so frustrated and distressed... why do they constantly need to remind themselves that theres no god..?? Simply bcoz their theory doesnt add up.

Even now you benefit from His presence, although you don't acknowledge Him.
But when you die, you will get to experience an eternity without Him, in accordance with your wishes.

nope, all anybody seems to use them for is an excuse to judge, which I can do all by myself and come up with more valid judgements

Matthew 19:26 But Jesus beheld them, and said unto them, With men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible.
Your not wanting God is your choice. I Choose God! Praise the Lord!
Romans 14:11 For it is written, As I live, saith the Lord, every knee shall bow to me, and every tongue shall confess to God.
That includes you!
