i want to purchase a windows vista , but i'm not sure if it's a good one .Could you tell me whether it's good or not? and whether i will regret if i get it

Right now, I personally would NOT purchase it - at least for a year. Right now, software and hardware companies are working over time to write brand-new drivers for the Vista operating system because 97% of your hardware connected to your Windows XP machine is not "yet" compatible with Vista. That is the biggest most annoying flaw with Vista. Plus, you must make sure you have a pretty souped up machine to run Vista...it's a hefty system hog on your RAM and video card.

Don't touch Vista with a barge pole yet, still to be tried and fully tested, driver database far from complete, and we in Britain being charged well above the cost to Americans, not only for Vista but for office 2007, ask why we should pay more, answer greed from gullible Brits by the worlds arguably richest company

windows xp unless you get the vista ultimate. normal vista is not much different to xp. you can get a vista lookalike for free in this months computer mag. does just the same i was very dissapointed especially after all the hype.

DON'T install VISTA. My friend has it and it has a lot of bugs and problems too even though she installed it in a brand new computer with all the requirements. Use XP for now...
