US pilots have killed Canadians and Brits and Germans. Maybe the US air force might give up and go home and leave the fighting to the professionals so they don't kill all the friendly forces helping them out! Great intelligence work and great cover up work. I suppose these incompetent amateurs will get a slap on the wrist also!

The point is too bad the US air force isn't as professional as the Canadian, British or Germans!

Absurd! When you have 23 years of combat experience then I'll consider the stupidity about how hard it is for you yanks to ID the friendlies and enemies. Funny how the professional militaries can do it. Face it, the US military is one of the lousiest I've ever seen, exception given to the Marine Corps.

Americans grown up with "trigger-happy fingers" so what else can we expect?

Shoot first, ask questions later indoctrinisation from the cradle.

Simple as !

It would be nice to think they have to live with the results of thier actions, unfortunately, past experience proves this not to be the case.. because it keeps happening time.. after time... after time....

Also typical of the American attitude, is the "powers that be"'s ability to cover things up - (allegedly ;-) !!! )... as seen today when UK Coroner tried for a long time to get video evidence that U.S. authorities kept maintaining did not exsist.... Hmmmmm

It's desperate when UK/NATO forces have to keep one eye on the terrorists, and the other eye on "thier allied forces"...

You're not getting paid enough for that guys... ie UK/NATO forces that is !!

Re tbird - If only Tony Bliar (sic) had the balls to withdraw ALL UK troops and leave US to sort thier own mess out - ON THEIR OWN... at least it would mean a LOT LESS UK troops returning home in bodybags due to "friendly fire" !!

DON'T FORGET tbird.. IT WAS AMERICA who asked UK/NATO for Military help, then promptly withdrew 77% of US forces out of AFGHANISTAN in order to invade Iraq against International law and advice leaving UK/NATO troops to sort your mess out in Afghanistan whilst GROSSLY under-manned and under-resourced, even though it is the REAL SOURCE of this terrorist conflict - NOT Iraq - sorry to burst your bubble ! DUH !!!

Well considering that American forces out number British forces in Iraq atleast 10-1, why have 40% of British friendly fire casualties been Brit on Brit friendly fire casualties.

And as to air to ground friendly fire incidents, since American Air Forces fly 99.9% of all missions, you really don't know if the coalition forces are more professional or not.

America tried leaving the fighting to you real professional's one time, during WWll, and the result, Germany controled all of Europe. I love hearing Europeans say America didn't enter WWll untill the war was almost over, yea it was almost over, Germany had almost won, before America entered the war.

One might point out that the American pilots were in question about whether or not the convoy was friendly forces and it was the British forward Air Controller who repeatedly told them that there were no friendlies operating in that Kill Zone.

that's what happens when you don't report your route into a kill zone and have an unattentive British forward air controller who doesn't respond to cease fire calls...

Boy do you not have a clue. What have you done for your country. The insurgents do a very effective job at dressing as the US or our Allies. This may have been the case and you have no clue as to what really happened other than watching that top secret you tube, highly classified material. Stop being so judgmental!!

You certainly have no concept of the difficulties involved in a battlefield environment. The immediate and correct (or in sadly some cases incorrect) identification of 'friend or foe' is incredibly difficult. It is a sad consequence, and a great deal of effort is put into means that can improve such identification.

Oh do shut up. It's not like your crowd hasn't had screwups in the past. Why don't you go and fix your own house before pissing in someone elses. Without the yanks to help you my uncle adolph would have stomped you flat in the 40's and anyone with a brain knows that is the truth.

One would assume that the force that does the bulk of the fighting would conversely be the force with the most "friendly fire" incidents.

Perhaps if Germany and Canada actually had an air force they would realize how difficult the missions of the USAF are.
