Well, you either choose to accept it or not. If you are good friends, this is something you can overcome if you want to continue this friendship. Years from now you both can look back and laugh.
Just explain that it is an awkward position for you to be in and tell him how you feel. Maybe he has some suggestions on something he can do to make you feel a little more comfortable until you become more at ease with the situation. I'm sure you've both been in situations before where you've liked someone and then been shut down. This is pretty much the same thing, just with a slight twist. Hang in there, it will all work out for the best.

Now you can relax and be totally at ease . He could turn out to be a real gem and a steadfast friend . So what if he now knows you care for him . Big deal. Let it slide and quit flirting or he might ditch YOU . Just don't do an about turn and have sex because I hate to think you go with open eyes into something so sexually dangerous. Sooner or later most end up with HIV .Stay away from that .
Good Luck to you both .

Dont make a tornado on a glass of water..it's ok! Eventhough you feel a little awkward, or embarrassed, you shouldn't. IT is not awkward for him to know this now.. it is actually flattering! I'm sure he is ok with it, and you've known each other long enough, to let a petty thing like this change your friendship. Dont sweat it girl! Just be the same corky friend you've always been.. and i mean that in a good way!.. I'm kind'a corky myself! :))

What's to be emabarrased about? You didn't know he was gay. In truth, he should be emabarrassed for not telling someone obviously so close to him the truth. The only thing you've done is let him know that your feelings are more than those of a friend.
You don't necessarily have to act on them but he knows and as long as you have no issue with his sexual preference then it will make your friendship stronger with those feelings being known.

Don't be embarrassed. You didn't know he was gay when you developed feelings for him. Now just be happy that you have a friend that you care for, and find a straight guy to date.

maybe he was lying to you just so he didn't have to crush you by saying he wasn't interested. If he really is gay, then don't worry about it, girls go for gay guys all the time because a lot of them are well kept and dressed and all. Think nothing of it and keep your relationship with him as it was.

What can you do? He's still a human being, isn't he? There must've been something about him that made you fall for him in the first place...and now he's gay....so what! Just be friends now that you found out that you aren't his flavor and be content with it.

I wouldn't worry about it - he's probably flattered that you have a thing for him. After all I bet he's good looking, sensitive and treats you like a queen. He may even dress well and know how to cook too. The perfect man! Just not for you...
