I had a baby this year and my mom came from Europe for over six months to help me out with care for my baby after my baby was 6 weeks old that I could go to work.

Of course I didn't pay her anything but my mom's airplane ticket and food cost me a lot of money.

Plus from time to time I asked occasional babysitter to watch for my kid. My mom has no SSN and I didn't get any paper from students that from time to time watch for my kid.

Clear is that I worked and my baby wasn't unattended and It cost me money from my income.

Can I claim anything as a expenses for childcare per your opinion?

Based on the information that you provided, no you would not be able to claim the Child and dependant care expenses that you incurred.

The recipient must have a SSN or TIN to claim the child care credit. You must make an effort to get the provider's SSN or TIN from them.

You can only claim payments actually made to the care provider, not airfare, food & lodging.

No,sorry.

First of all, your expenses were not paid directly for the child's care. It was great, though, that your mom was able to do this for you and for your child.

Also, I assume that your mother does not have a social security number or ITIN. You'd need that to claim expenses if they were eligible.
