i told a girl that (she has been my girlfriend for a week, and we have known each other for about 4 months before) anyway i told this girl in an email that i love her. my question is do you think that she will now distance herself from me or not?

at any rate, i think that this will be a good test to see if she really likes me.

it should be noted that by when i say "known this girl for 4 months" it means we have been emailing eachother about 4 times a day during those 4 months

If you told her that and you meant it, I don't think that she will distance herself. The first day my boyfriend and I met, I guess you could say it was love at first "sight" and I returned it because it was there. She may not feel the same way, but I don't think this will be a problem. Sometimes it scares girls. I know with all my other boyfriends when they told me they loved me I definitely distanced myself. They just weren't the ones. So see what she says if she doesn't say anything then it's not love or like.Good luck hon!

I don't think it is a good test. It really depends on how well you knew eachother for those 4 months before you started dating. I might be a little shocked and confused, but it wouldn't drive me away.

I would have told her in person for the first time, not over an email, but since you've known each other awhile, maybe she feels the same way. Talk to her face-to-face about things. Good luck!

My ex told me after a week of dating me that he loved me. Looking back, after ending a 2 1/2 year relationship over a year ago, I wonder if he ever really did.

that's too soon, you need to date her for at least a month or two before you say those words or you might push her away and if she says it back right away the words don't mean as much or she's really clingy.

That might have been a little bit soon, so don't be hurt if she doesn't answer your question...she might not be ready to tell you yet. Be patient with her.
