No, but it's a nice way to show your gratitude.
It doesn't have to be much.

I would do something, you never HAVE to give a gift, then it isn't a gift, is it?
Spend about 20-30 bucks, or get that value of a product on sale.
Her fav Yankee candle in a large jar
Something to do with her hobbies
GC for a salon or spa service, pay for the service, and have it listed what the service is on the certificate, instead of the price you paid.
A collection of bath and body or hand and nail stuff, consumable products like lotion, or tools like brushes, etc
Her fav author's new book in hardback or book on CD
Magazine subscription
A bottle of wine
A piece of crystal, such as a picture frame, a candleholder, etc.

You don't have to but it would be a really nice way to show her thanks, maybe get her a gift certificate for a manicure or a nice picture frame with a pic of the 2 of you in it, it doesn't have to be anything big, but if you want to I think that would be really nice of you.....I got the hostesses of my shower last weekend pic frames and a candle, they loved it and were touched that in the middle of all my wedding chaos I thought of them, but I was very grateful for the shower so I wanted them to know it!
