Racism can be the basis for wars, however, it has been brought to our notice that religion can be a cause. If people were educated about what religion really is, that it is a path to greater life, i don't think religion can and will be a root to most wars.
it is in the name of religion, wars are fought to meet selfish ends because of which people who follow different faiths have to suffer (though their aim is the same thing ie. to reach god!)

Definetly religion. Without God in peoples lives they do not have the concept of love your neighbor. If God isnt in your life then the devil is, leaving the door open to think its cool to go to war because the devil wants everyone to die a ghastly death! He wants people to hate each other. It says in the bible if you have hate for anyone, then you hate God because we came from him. If God was in everyones life, we wouldnt have to worry about war because God wants us to love everyone! No matter what the politics are or why we go to war if you believe in God you will know that it all stems back to the devil, he is the only one who would put anger and hate in peoples hearts!
