A recent question asked, "what faith are you?"
In answering which religious denomination I belong to (Mormon), I got thumbs down by other YA's.
Not that I mind a thumbs down, but what are you/they disagreeing with here?

LOL Someone doesn't like mormons I suppose. I'm amused by the thumbs down I get. It's just someone who doesn't like what I said even if it's true and not an opinion.

hahaha. That is silly!! I guess someone doesn't like Mormons. I've also seen it where someone just goes through and gives everyone a thumbs down no matter what they've answered. Just for fun. I only rate people down if their answer is rude or if they give an incorrect answer to something that is factual and provable. There are some close minded people out there

Well, as you have probably noticed, this is a more emotionally charged forum than the rest. So thumbs down could have been a disapproval of your religion, not of stating the fact that you are a Mormon. Have to get used to it!! I got all kinds of nasty answers to a seemingly philosophical question (as least that's how it seemed to me) but hey, they cannot hurt me. Just laugh and keep going!

Im completely neutral to people who havent done anything to me tho. I have n oreason to give you thumbs down just because your answer is just..........well unexpected.

They must see your religion as a threat to their own. Most Christians for instance are very biased toward Mormons. I don't care for your religion either, but I am not offended that you are in it. Good for you.

They're acting out of their own prejudice and inability to see that someone else has a right to their own beliefs/opinions/ideas. They apparently think that there is no other way than theirs.
Sort of one of those, "If you're not with us, you must be against us" mind sets, I guess.

They don't like Mormons probably. I've had that happen as well on a question like that when all I typed was atheist.
