Does drinking green tea actually helps to lose weight. I have heard that drinking homemade Green tea and not the powder ones or even the ready-made ones, helps to lose weight and has many other benefits as well. What do you guys think? Tell me as much as you know about green tea..please.

Green tea contains anti-oxidants but so does black tea, red tea, and white tea. If it helps you to lose weight at all, it's because you drank a calorie-free beverage rather than eating food and the caffeine may help jazz you up. It also has a mild diuretic effect (to lose water weight).

The real answer is no...eating less and moving more helps you lose weight but if grabbing green tea keeps you from nibbling, go for it.
Good luck!

No, it doesn't. There have been studies that have shown drinking green tea results in a MODERATE increase in metabolism (not enough to lose weight by just drinking tea), and the tea industry has taken that, blown it up, and run with it.

Yes. Drinking Water and Coffee help flush out your immune system. Green Tea flushes and adds health do both ways Green tea is 2x better. But you also have to exercise and eat fruits, veggies, thinfs with fiber so you don't get sick and dizzy from not eating. You also need to eat so you aren't empty yet still flushing...it will cause ketosis. Ketosis comes when you don't eat yet drink. Every time you eat little it will store that up and eat your insides instead. You won't lose weight immediately you'll first get flab then shrink. But by the time you get to those stages you'll throw up every little thing you try to and soon be on your way to death. But that's why you have to eat. But don't eat junk, bread etc. Healthy ;)

I've tried many diets and couldn't make anything work. Since having my first child, I've been carrying around an extra 30 pounds. This diet just made sense and showed me that everything I was doing before was wrong and a waste of my time.

The plan was so refreshing and so simple to follow. I did everything plan said and lost 23 pounds in the first three weeks. I'm now starting the diet again to lose 7 more pounds. This plan has changed my life.

Get started today!

I drank regular brewed tea unsweetened tea (not green tea) and found it helpful on my diet only because it contains no calories. I also ate healthy low-fat meals and exercised and lost 70 pounds. I think the tea helps only because you are not drinking pop or other sugary drinks. I just drink mostly water now. Woman should be careful about drinking tea with meals because tea blocks the absorption of iron.

Green tea does not help you lose weight. When imbibed in massive quantities (10 POTS per day) you will benefit from the antioxidants, which have nothing to do with weight loss.
