I discovered a site, that for a fee, will email you copies of lottery tickets from several different states. Is this legit?

Seriously, even if it were possible what's the point? The odds of winning are so slim it is hardly worth the effort.

Also, there is nothing to stop them buying you a ticket, emailing you a scanned copy and then taking it back and getting a refund for it. Then if you win you are screwed.

Is there any reason you can't just buy a lottery ticket within your own state/area?

I mean, there may be legit services online (I haven't heard of this one), but it's such an easy scam that it attracts tons of scammers. It costs almost nothing to run, and people seem to be intrigued when they get e-mails from lottery services that they never entered (source: Yahoo Answers front page).

Think about this one: if you lose, they have your money. If you hit big, they have your ticket and you can't cash it in (even if you have a copy, good luck trying to convince the courts that you have the right to it after the original owners cash it).

Like I said, it's possible that they're legit, and I hate to condemn a product I haven't used, but you can see how easy it would be to scam you here. If you've got a big urge to play the lottery, go to the gas station and pick up a ticket or two. At least you'll be able to cash it in if you happen to win.
