People spend years becoming beastly big. It won't accidently happen to you.

hey i am like that, i like my body and have no intention to change my shape. it is possible hun. What i do is run 7miles a day 5 times a week. then i bike about 15miles over a week, and i box almost everyday as i have a punch bag and i skip, you may find you could gain a few pounds, but only because muscle is heavier than far, it tones up your body perfectly, as running with the legs and stomach, boxing with the whole upper body and biking with butt and legs. I lost some weight at first, but then i put it back on through muscle. you could also try swimming, yoga or a sport you enjoy. The three i do i love and biking helo with running as it builds up muscle fast. I am not a freak lol, i don't have this disgustine muscles, but my stomach is lovely and tones and no i do not have abs haha. i now feel very comfortable with my body and i am so fit with a resting heart rate of just 54 beats to the minute. I got all of this advice from fitness trainers.

Ok, the person above me is correct to a degree :D the key is to push a tad bit above you comfort zone but do not max out. When you max out, you put a crap load of tears in your muscles that add more repair and bulk. Lift what is comfortable but not too easy. At the end of 15 reps you should be feelin "Wow I worked!" not "OMG! I am dying" You give the muscle a 30-60 second break and then do another 15 reps...then move onto another muscle group. BUT!!!! Stretching is your ultimate next step! It will stretch out the muscles that had contracted and allow for more blood flow...giving you a leaner yet sculptured look. Do not lift everyday but every other day. You can wear the muscle out using it too much so really switch your muscle group focus. Alternate the days you are working a group...Now I am not sure of the frequency so, you may wanna consult a knowledgeable book....Dont always trust a trainers word at a gym...some arent even trained!!!!!!(even tho they want you to believe so...ask to see credentials) I used to teach dance and go to professional conventions. I am not a trainer but I picked up a few things on the way in my 13 years. (I used to lift too :D )

Your question is still somewhat vague. You didn't mention what areas of your body you want to work on, how fit you are right now, what your goal is, etc.

I would suggest going to www.bodybuilding.com and looking at the articles and forum posts there. There are always excellent articles about exercises to do at home and they have a list of what exercises work which parts of the body, etc. They also have a store there to buy stuff but you can bypass the store and view the articles and forums for free.

I work out 5 days a week and using their articles and forums I have really achieved the results I wanted.

You would really have to go out of your way to become beastly. I wouldn't worry about that. As far as becoming tone and shapely at home I would recommend ankle weights and resistance bands. You might look into a book called Men's Health Home Workout Bible.
