No...I do not roll through stop signs. I also stop by the white stop line. There is a reason it is there. If I must, I pull ahead and stop again to see if it is clear for me to go. Many drivers have very careless habits that cause accidents every day. It's all in the odds when or if they're habit causes something. New, young drivers see this and start doing it as soon as there is no longer a driving instructor in the car with them. How cool would they feel if they always came to a complete stop at the stop line when so many experienced drivers blow the horn at them for doing it?

The only time I roll through stop signs is in parking lots....AFTER I have looked around to make sure that there are no other cars or people around.
That is ridiculous...I think there are far too many bad drivers out there. The tests should be more stringent. And more frequent. I think they should pay special attention to teenagers and the elderly. Teenagers get way too overconfident. The elderly don't want to lose their license. Cracking down on people doing other things other than driving (especially women! I am a women, I don;'t feel it necessary to do makeup, talk on the cell, fiddle with other things in the car when I drive) would be nice. There is just waay too much distracted driving.
I think police should focus on this, rather than people speeding. It annoys me when people get pulled over for speeding, if they are just going along with traffic, driving straight, not switching lanes. They should pull over the morons weaving between lanes, talking on the cell, looking elsewhere other than in front of them.

I had to response, this question brought back memories. About 20 years ago when I was 16 and newly licensed, I rolled thru a stop sign and was stopped by the police for running a stop sign. I told him that I dont see the difference coming to a complete stop versus slowing down if I dont cause a collision. The cop laughed and said, "If I took out a stick and started beating you would you want me to slow down or stop." Needless to say I got a ticket anyway.

Well, I am from Wisconsin, and I don't know of one person in this state that likes how the people in Illnois drive...now, I am not saying that the people themselves are bad, however, their driving tecniques are quite irritating...That is the one thing that us cheese-heads always can agree on...Illinois has many horrible drivers!!! My heart goes out to that family...what a tragedy..I think they obviously need to rethink their requirements when obtaining a license! And, no, in answer to your question..I do not roll...

Nope, full stop every time at a stop sign and make sure it's safe before continuing.
Someone else's life is worth the few seconds for me to make a full stop.
