I've had cavair before, not often and haven't had that problem. I did find it was salty though but not hard to swallow. But perhaps it was the type, or the age that caused that. Or she may just not like it, not everyone likes cavair. It can be an "aquired" taste.

I think is does taste salty, but I don't have any problems swallowing cavair.

It is salty since it's been brined usually. But swallowing? Is she chewing it so they pop? I have a gag reflex from he** and caviar's no problem.

seriously if you knew where it came from you wouldn't eat it anyway. I've worked in fish plants, it turns my stomach just thinking about eating that stuff, and people where i come from even fry roe up with eggs for breakfast , oh god i'm gonna throw up just thinking about it. It's even grosser than lobster and eggs.

My mon use to osterize it with a little onion and mayonaise and spread it on cracker, taste great!!!!
Its funny to chew them as they explote!!
