Alright, people need to simmer down. This question isn't inflammatory; it's a question that needs to be asked. I would argue that no, skin color has nothing to do with violence, there's just a link between income levels (regardless of color) and violence.

And yes, percentage wise, darker skinned people do commit more crimes, but Anglo's have had their lawless times too.

So it is unfortunate that when one is alone in a dark parking lot, and a man of African descent walks up, a person starts to panic. It's a stereotype, and stereotypes DO start from a little truth, but I believe that the (white) powers that be are also responsible for holding African-Americans back.

And I happen to have friends from ALL races (Anglo-Saxon, African, Asian, Indian, Native American, etc.) and they are all amazing, intelligent, and successful people.

Race and intelligence? I think not. But economic background and violence? I could see that.

IQ has no relationship to skin color. There are plenty of low IQ light-skinned individuals. As one commenter replied, it is a matter of statistics, more whites commit crimes than any other races, but a higher percentage per capita are minorities, but there is a lot of reasons behind that.

Biggest reason, is that white-america does not afford opportunities to minorities in general. When comparing a city with whites as to minorities, you notice that the city spends more money on schools for white students and offers them more programs. Minority condensed school districts offer less programs and invest less in their school, thus producing students that are not capable of going to college, ending up on the streets, unemployed, committing crimes. This is not always the case, there are success stores that come from poverished areas, but this is the case most of the time. Provide good schools and oppotunities and this problem can be avoided.

Obviously, you are also part of the low IQ demographic (it's ok, your demographic, if Anglo-Saxon, is not known for an exceptional IQ). I'm proud to say that I'm Indian (for you other low IQ individuals, from India). Our demographic can be considered dark-skinned and among the most brilliant of ethnicities, especially in the States (United). [Please note your local hospital, wherever it may be.] Indians have the highest number of geniuses (feel free to google). Also, our involvement in crime in non-existent in the States (unfortunately, we do have a tendency to kick butt, but not in the States). So, please know that you, too, are a crime-committing ignoramus...but it's ok, you have no identity and your mother is easy.

Not IQ, related. You can't generalize, but most black crime comes out of low income, inner city areas. Those areas have a lot of problems for a lot of reasons, and a higher population of blacks live there. I don't think you can make generalizations about blacks, but perhaps you can make generalizations about inner city areas. Generally, inner city dwellers value education less than those in the suburbs, have no belief that their situations can change, and glorify gangster culture.

you are a scary ignorant person. what makes you an expert on crime statistics. there may be more african americans in prison but not because they are the only ones who commit crimes. its because most white people dont get sentence to prison as much as blacks. we need judges who are less racist. i am a white woman i have been to prison . do you know how many times i was given chances before they got tired of me and threw me in prison. you need to research your statement . you must be some uneducated hick who has sex with his sister. get a grip and get a life

It's more like socio-economic status. If you went to school, you'd understand that. If you can afford a computer to hide behind, you can afford to enlighten yourself with an education.

Because the racist only report about the crimes done by "dark-skinned" people. They don't seem to mention all the crimes done by "light-skinned" people. Low IQ has nothing to do with crime but everything to do with racism.
