I eat a lot of flak from people because of my weight.

When I chew the fat with my neighbors they often make subtle but discouraging remarks about how I look like I'm fat. It's not something I really want to have to worry about, because like I always tell them I have bigger fish to fry. They'll probably have me eating crow for this, but what can I do to clear the table and my mind of their insults?

Usually, you have to want to lose weight to lose weight. If you aren't really into it... you probably won't.

The best advice is to modify your unhealthy diet and exercise habits into healthy ones. Eat right and get regular exercise.

If you think you are fine, don't let them bother you.

The best way to loose weight is NOT TO DIET. Dieting will take off pounds but they come back afterwards. Eat healthy, lots of ruffage veggies and fruits, avoid meets, but eat enough for protine....eat lots of fish. AND EXCERCIZE DAILY for 30 min to get your heart rate up. There is no easy magic to it contrary to what anyone else will say.
AS FOR YOUR FRIENDS? How heathly are they really? Because if they wernt self conscious they wouldent need to point it out to you to make them feel good.
BE A DUCK, let it roll off like water on a ducks back.......sometimes you can look at them and "quack" too. It will confuse them.

doesnt really sound like you have a problem with your weight...... just sounds like others do.

I do understand how you feel, i too have had people comment on my weight before.

it really hurt

but then I took action. I reminded these people that I was not interested in their point of view when it came to my weight and I would prefer if they didn't make comment. I explained to them that it wasnt something I was terribly interested in...... I dont think im grossly overweight nor am i unhealthy. therefore, i have other things that come up on a higher priority other than fitting into a size 6.

they listened and havent commented again.

Why do you give a crap about these obviously nasty, shallow people?

You don't know how to lose weight? Really??

Eat less, exercise more.
