Fish emulsion is an all-natural organic fish fertilizer with a reputation for growing great plants. When used as a liquid drench, results are quicker than with other organics or inorganic fertilizers. Fish emulsion will make a good fertilizer for your potatoes. With most organics you have to be careful about applying too much nitrogen which would cause luxuriant growth of the plant tops but very few potatoes. But fish emulsion is a low-nitrogen concentrated liquid food containing a wide range of trace elements that will green foliage, grow vigorous roots and big blooms while also enriching the soil. It has a rate of N-P-K of 8-12-2 Which makes it a little low in potassium. If you want to grow all organic you might use some kelp meal (1-0-8) which is a dry fertilizer made of iron seaweed and is very high in potassium and trace elements. Also an excellent source of plant hormones that stimulate plant and root growth. When mixed with fish emulsion, it can't be beat.
