I treated my acid reflux with orange peel extract. I saw a flyer at the health food store, got some on line, it cost about $15, and has knocked down about 95% of my AR. I sometimes get a little at night, and a Tums takes care of that. Nothing I eat bothers me now, I just avoid eating 3 hours before bedtime. For Lactose intolerance, try those OTC pills you can use. I also take acidopolis and digestive enzymes, which should also help with the LI.

I have acid reflux too so I know what you r going through. I recently visited a doctor and since then I feel much better. Here is the food you need to avoid:tomato sauce or tomato paste (even when you crush the tomatoes yourself...cause the more ripe the tomatoes are the more acid they have. You can eat raw tomatoes in the salad though). Next is peppermint. I used to take peppermint to to get better...it didn't work of course. Also, no fried food. Say no to french fries....sorry. And last not too much dairy products. I can have some milk in my coffee and then maybe a spoon of yogurt or a piece of cheese through out the day and that's about it. I hope this info is helpful cause I know how painful acid reflux can be.

My acid reflux is caused by constipation. I take fiber and never have to take any acid reflux medicine. I also eat the core of a fresh pineapple for the digestive enzymes. That really works. Helps with imflamation too. I am also lactose intolerant. I eat a soy yogurt called SILK, it is great.

My husband's not lactose-intolerant, but we don't have much dairy in the house. And he does have acid reflux, or a condition that mimics it closely.
Try fish and skinless chicken breast, and use different herbs to season it. I like garlic, ginger, oregano, and sage. Other herbs work well too, but those are my staples.
Also, take a look at herbal teas, especially those with ginger in it. When my husband gets severe pain in his stomach, I fix a cup of Tension Tamer tea with a dash of powdered ginger, a spoon of honey, and a spoon of sugar. It seems to help.
Consider steaming your vegetables rather than boiling them. And don't eat much deep-fried food.
Rice and potatoes are pretty mild. And so is apple sauce, or fruit cocktail.
I hope this helps!

Chronic heartburn is usually from acid reflux - stomach acid is getting past the little valve and into your esophagus. You also should know some natural ways to treat your heartburn. Learn them here https://bitly.im/aMA8h
The most immediate thing you can do is to stop drinking coffee and cola. Smoking is not good either, but that might be harder to stop. Don't over-eat. Don't lie down too soon after eating. Don't burp too much - this carries acid up with the burp.
heartburn the most common symptom of acid reflux disease (also known as gastroespohageal reflux disease, or GERD). Heartburn feels like a burning pain in the center of the chest. It is caused by acid from the stomach backing up into the esophagus. is a symptom of acid reflux disease (GERD) Also known as Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease
