That's a really good quesiton. I believe the "Holy Land" is significant partly because of the obvious religious and historical events that occurred there. But more importantly, it is a promised land and the center stage for many religious events that are now underway and will continue to unfold in the future.

On a tangent, it has been said that the reason the Vietnam war was so critical, is because it was a battle ground for Communism and Democracy. Rather than an all out worldwide war over the same issue, this battle was somewhat contained to the ring of Vietnam. Vietnam consequently became a focused battle ground to the spread or curtailing of communism/democracy. I think many religions view Palestine in a similar way, but in a spiritual sense. Although not always directly effected by the events that transpire there, it has become a religious battleground for the rise or containment of their individual faiths.

a. Jews live there and consider it the only place in the world were they can call home.

b. Jesus was sent to the people of Israel and he was from the bloodline of Abrahams son Isaac who happens to be the father of Jews.

c. Muslims believe the Prophet Muhammad took a flight there to masjid al aqsa and went to the seventh heaven. The small area between Israel and egypt and mekka has been the home of Abrahams sons. And we muslims hold Abraham and his children at high esteem because through his lineage came the line of prophets.

a) Because Jews think that if they have a Jewish state then somebody like Hitler cannot again exterminate them. They put their faith in a Jewish state to protect them.

b) Because some Christians think that God has given the land to the Jews, no strings attached. They see the formation of the state of Israel as a fulfiulment of Bible prophecies.

c) Because large numbers of Arabs, who were mostly Muslims, were forced to leave the land when the state of Israel was formed. And because the Israelis are still trying to grab more Arab land by building settlements in the occupied territories.

a) jews because it is thier ancestral land

b) christians because of jerusalem

c) muslims because they want to take it and gain a major victory over the christians and jews by "owning" thier religious holy land or factual ancestral land.

I do make the distinction between pre-crusades muslims (true muslims who lived peacefully with christians and jews but were slaughtered by the crusaders when they took jerusalem) and modern muslims who are the more militant and violent kind.

It is important for these three religions becouse it have many many holly places for the three religions
1) Muslims: In it, there is "Elmasged Elaksa" Elaksa mosque, its a holly place for Muslims which was mentioned by Muhammed (PBUH) in a Hadeeth, there is the first place that Muslims prayed in its direction before God order them to change this direction to face "Elka'ba" in Sudia Arabia, also there is a merical happened to Muhammed (PBUH) there when he moved from Sudia Arabia to Palastine & prayed in this mosque and came back to Sudia Arabia at the same night
2) Christians: There where Jesus (PBUH) born, also there r many important churches there
3) Jews: They think that Solomon Tample is there

merely a male and woman can reproduce. i do no longer see any examples in nature of two adult males reproducing or of two women human beings reproducing in nature. Nor are there examples of gay relationships in species who mate for existence. the type of element should be no longer a threat for the reason that no offspring may be produced. hence, the habit ought to no longer be sustained contained in the destiny. for the reason that those who practice it ought to effectively take themselves out of the gene pool. There are examples in nature of asexual duplicate. yet people are in many situations no longer able to this. For a male to manage to mate with yet another male ought to require a change of body structure of people. yet when the type of change befell we may now no longer be human yet yet another species. And the courting between male and woman would not be an identical. we may all have both male and woman organs. the point of hetero sex over asexual sex is to create range in species ensuing in additional effective probability of survival over such issues as ailment and predators. Asexual duplicate creates clones who all have an identical susceptibilities. the point then of sex is for procreation and survival of the species. something else is secondary to the commonplace purpose. And to change the commonplace purpose for something else is unnatural and a disease that ought to undermine the probabilities of species survival.
