As a Buddhist of the Theravada tradition I am clasified by others as an Athiest probably by folks such as you, this is fine, It matters not to me to be classified, I don't waste my time in such useless endeavour, I'll take what you have said on board and keep it in mind although please bear in mind that to Buddhists it means nothing that something may end as in Life there are always beginnings and endings, Life itself is a journey which has a beginning and an end.

As for your generalization that they (Athiests including me, my family and those of my adopted country) will believe after the event of course it matters not to me what you may believe or extort to me whether or not there is a second coming of this person, or whether or not this event is foretold, due, imminent or not, I will still be on the Path as the Lord Buddha has taught me and probably will be when this event of yours occurs still ignoring it as to me whether or not it occurs at all is irrelevent, the only thing which matters to me is the fact of your closed minded ignorance, lack of wisdom and sheer foolishness to expect me to care about something which you believe will happen and the fact of its irrelevence to me.

My Path is never ending. The Noble Eightfold Path is a Path which is followed throughout this Life and subsequent Lives, if I should achieve Nirvana then I should still struggle onwards on the same Path. It may interest you to know that to Buddhists you yourself are on the same Path albeit in ignorance and to me this is a sad fact, moreover in your ignorance you will be subject to Rebirth and in your ignorance will accept your next Life in further ignorance. I wish you wisdom to realise this and become the true human being of which you are capable.

Peace my friend in the continuing season of joy...do you know what I mean by this...? I hope so it is a compassionate plea for the continuation of the joy of the Christian Christmas season which seems to me as a Buddhist to be irrelevent to Christians as the joy felt at that time is only relevent while the beer and presents flow, do you feel it today? Why not if it is so relevent to you Christians? This is why I wish it for you as a continuous season.

Try it....compassion I mean.....you may learn something like wisdom....

When the Lord appears in the clouds, without coming to earth, and call all those that have believe and trusted that the Lord Jesus Christ died for their sins, will meet the Lord in the air. 1 Thessalonians 4: 17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. All that are left will be lost people. 2 Thessalonians 2: 10 And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved. 2 Thessalonians 2: 11 And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie: 2 Thessalonians 2: 12 That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness. Those that endure the seven years of tribulation period without taking the mark of the beast will go into the kingdom on earth when the Lord returns to judge and make war. Revelation 19: 11 And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war.

ok, i do not mean this to be insulting, yet purely dealing with reality, this question is irrational. If Christ were to go back that ought to intend He grow to be in some appreciate supernatural. Can everybody who died 2000 years in the past go back to earth with out being supernatural? And if so, does that not do away with the completed atheist decision? besides, people ought to not "persecute" you on your atheists beliefs. together, i imagine it should be smart so that you'll be able to consider at the same time as someone is "persecuting" you and at the same time as someone is purely voicing a diverse opinion than yours. Do you concentration on my characterization of your question as irrational as "persecution?" I have universal people (those people occurred to be Christians) who claimed they were persecuted. regardless of the indisputable fact that, at the same time as they did face a level of mockery they did not extremely face "persecution." Its not persecution for someone to call you a derogatory call. neither is it persecution for someone to disagree which includes your beliefs. there has been authentic persecution ensue in historic past both via and of those who named themselves as Christian. Its best now to not water down the definition of persecution. And its not persecution to inform someone they're going to hell. Did Jesus persecute people? Jesus advised people they were going to hell. together, probable you've been advised that at cases via people that ought to have used better expertise of their interplay with you. besides, so what i imagine of this question of Jesus returning as an atheist martyr to die for the sins of Christian people is that it's not a rational question.

Obviously-all I ever asked for was proof and if there's a second coming I could hardly deny that God was real. I'm not holding my breath though.

That is absolutely nonsense, even "IF" he comes there will still be unbelievers, they did not believe in him when they crusified him, so why would you think that would change.
