I also have very staticy hair.
To controll the static I:
1. Shampoo and condition everyday with a volumizing shampoo and conditioner.
2. Use a deep conditioner 3 times a week.
3. Sleep with my hair in a tight bun.
4. Rub dryer sheets down my hair once in the morning.
5. Spray my pillows with Static Guard.
6. Spray my hair brushes, scarves, jackets, shirts, sweatshirts, etc. with Static Guard.
7. Rub a dime sized amount of shine serum in my hair.
8. Spray my hair with lightweight texturizing hairsray.
9. When going out to a big event I flat iron my hair.
10. If hair gets out of controll simply tie up in a ponytail.
This really helps me and I sure hope it helps you as well.
Good Luck

I've had this problem for years. The easiest way is to put some hand lotion on and gently rub threw your hair. Fortunately, they finally came out with a shampoo that actually works! Buy Sunsilk "Anti-poof" it's in a blue bottle. It costs about $3 and worth every penny. I've been using it all winter and have not had any problems with static.

Use a leave in conditioner. This helps to weigh the hair down a bit. Try Aveda Elixir leave in conditioner. It doesn't appear to weigh hair down as it is quite light if you don't over do it and the static problem will be cured. Tried and tested about 3 weeks ago and I am still using it now.

Never skip the conditioner that helps. I put a little hair spray on mine when it is getting out of control. I have also heard that people rub dryer sheets on their hair to help tame it.
Good luck.

or you can go buy a can of static remover at a store like walmart. it might say for clothing but if you read the back it may be used for your hair too.

Had the same problem last winter. Not even conditioner would help. Finally i found a blow dryer for around $20 that has an ionizer component to it.. Works great and i even use it on my clothing.

I read this in a magazine. You need to get a dryer sheet and rub it all through your hair. I don't know if it works or not, but if your hair is really staticy, it's worth a try.
