My boss and I are thinking of joining Weight Watchers. Anyone had really good results with this. Anyone not had good results with Weight Watchers. All opinions are appreciated. Thanks

Well it is a good SYSTEM. Wjy not just make your own? You clearly have a support system with your boss and your boss with you. All weight watchers is, is calorie counting and i am sure you 2 can do that. You can also buy weight watcher food at the grocery store. All you are paying for is a point system and all that point system is is counting calories. Plus a support network, but you have someone. I would honestly say do not waste your money on it.

I tried Weight Watchers myself & they are very good. They promote healthy eating combined with exercise - which helps you change your attitude toward food longterm and keep the weight off.

The meetings are always a help, even if it is only to make you feel guilty if you know you'll have to admit you haven't been very good! My group leader was a great help when the pounds just wouldn't shift - even when I was being good - pointing out subtle changes that made a big difference. You'll also get the support of the other members who'll all be in the same boat. It's a great place to swap healthy recipies for things you think you can't eat anymore too - I got a great recipie for chocolate cake (made with 1/2 the normal amount of flour with the other 1/2 made up with ground almonds and canderel instead of sugar).

Best of luck to you both.x

My grandma swears by Weight Watchers. She says that you are more successfull with the program if you go to the meetings, too- it makes a big difference.

i officially did it in 2004 and was losing 1-2 lbs a week. i couldn't keep paying for the meetings though. i got pregnant in 2005 and had my baby last year.

now i am unofficially doing it and still losing 1-2 lbs a week so i would say it works.

you can look up dotties weight loss zone online for free info on WW and get some free recipes from the WW website

good luck

I honesty think this is a waste of money. You go and scale in and talk to others and spend boatloads on certain foods.
All you need to do is eat right, exercise, and stay motivated. Easy as pie.
