I think that God is a belief and nothing more, The bible claims God made man but I submit to you that man made God. God survives at our whim by being believed in. If all people everywhere stopped believing in him would he not cease to exist? He can not be the "all mighty" and do "anything" Can he possibly brew a pot of tea so hot that even he cant drink it?

GOD can not have a 'definition' because God is 'beyond everything we know' ... but I can give you some words that can 'describe' some of what God can 'do' in our lives ... God 'created us' (this does not say that 'evolution' didn't happen) and God LOVES US UNCONDITIONALLY (God doesn't care whether we are 'good or bad' but only that we 'exist'). I can 'feel and hear God' in ways that many people 'can't' but that doesn't mean that either of us is wrong or right ... it means simply that I am a 'mystic' believer and not a 'pure faith' believer. You may 'explain' what I see as a 'mystic experience' as something that 'just happened' and neither of us will get anywhere with 'deciding who is right and who is wrong' because our OPINIONS DIFFER. I can't 'prove' that God exists any more than I can 'define God' ... but I do 'believe' that after I die I will continue to 'exist' on another plane in another 'form' that may not be a 'body' ... and I can 'pray' (ask God to help me) that I go to 'Heaven' to 'be with God' rather than to go to 'Hell' and 'be with Satan.'

God is the loving parent to those who want Him to be. God is the creator and judge of everything. God is the beginning and the end.

He is God the Father, the Creator and Essence of ultimate Love. He is God the Son, the Sacrifice and Keeper of my soul, He is God the Holy Spirit, the Comforter and, the Power to raise the dead.

To seek to define "God" is to seek to minimize him and put him into manageable terms. God reveals many things about himself in the Bible: He is "Creator", "from Everlasting to Everlasting", the "All-Sufficient One," King over "all kings," and ruler of "all kingdoms." He is holy, perfect, just, good, loving, compassionate, merciful, kind, and a judge over all the world. There is none like him. His thoughts are not our thoughts, and his ways are not our ways.

If you want to know who God is, you must take the time to learn who he says he is. A denotative definition is a waste of time.

"That than which nothing greater can be conceived" is one of the definitions for which existence can logically follow.

Too bad that greatness and conception are so subjective...
