If a mosquito bites my father, that certain part of body bitten by the mosquito gets swollen. It takes around 3 to 4 days to come back to normal. Our family doctor (after taking blood test etc) told that the serum level in his blood is high, and there is no solution for it.
It's a great suffering for him. If he gets bitten by mosquito, he cannot go out anywhere for a couple of days, even for work.
Doctors or people who know anything about this, please reply as soon as possible.
[N.B:- If there is any method to reduce the swollenness, please tell. (my father does not have high pressure, diabetes or cholesterol)]

Take an antihistomine (not sure of spelling) to reduce swelling

Put ice on to reduce swelling

Make a paste of baking soda and water and apply

Use mosquito repellent

Try and stay indoors from dusk to dawn when mosquitoes are out

If sitting outside - use a FAN - just one from the house - it will create a wind and the mosquitoes won't fly in it: THIS WORKS
(dont leave fan out in rain of course)

I suffer the same - can't sit around the camp fire with the rest, but, hey, that's part of life -

Also - wear a mosquito suit or at least the head cover one

Good luck :-)

It definitely does sound like an allergy to insect bites. However my son has recently been bittin by fleas and he has the same darkening without scratching, and they look like tiny pink blisters.. Not sure if that helps or has any relavience but thought I would throw it in there :o)

Immediately after a mosquito bite, your father should apply a steroidal preparation, such as 1% hydrocortisone ointment. If swelling appears, he should use it twice a day till the swelling disappears. An oral antihistamine will also help, such as cetirizine or loratidine once daily.
