What makes you think we don't care about the world we live in? I do, and most everyone I know does...maybe you need to take your blinders off and find out about what people believe before you go making accusations!

Matthew 25:40 And the King shall answer and say unto them, "Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me."
Christians follow those words of Jesus, and they give their time and their money to support food and clothing banks, schools, hospitals, hospices, homeless shelters, soup kitchens, disaster relief programs, etc. They work to make their communities a better place because they love their Lord and want to mitigate human suffering.
So, take off your freakin' blinders and see the good that we're already doing here on earth. Care to join us?

You have a good point. The focus of religion should be how to build the Kingdom of God - a place where God is present with His people and there is peace, love, mercy, and justice - here and now.
If you do this, then you do not have to worry about where you will be after this life.

Here's my take... because they believe the end days are near, they don't HAVE to conserve or believe in global warming or save the trees or anything like that. They won't be here long enough for any of that to make a difference so why bother.
