I had my reception at the Portuguese Club in Milford, Ma. It seats up to 500 people. I was charged $400 dollars and it included: rental of the hall, table and chair set up, bartender and tear down. They have a kitchen so you can bring in any caterer you want. here is the phone number.

Hmmm..well this all depends on what type of a setting you would like to pursue. If you want something outside, why not have the wedding and reception in Hampton Beach, New Hampshire? I had a friend who had not a lot of money but got married there on the beach..it was absolutely gorgeous. It is public and you don't have topay any city fees to "rent" the property, unless you decide to want to have the ceremony on private property belonging to someone who lives on or owns part of the beach. It was absolutely beautiful and the strip there offers people a lot to do in the meantime. Booking the hotel rooms for anyone who might be staying overnight would definetly have to be done in advance. It is about a 1 1/2 hour trip from Boston.

Check for possibilities of marrying in a park or on a beach. Make it someplace with a pavilion, in case of rain.

You could have a lovely picnic there, afterwards.

200 guests is an awful lot if you don't have money to work with. Can you pare that down a little bit?
