I wouldn't say its "bad" but I would say it can be difficult and complicated. I had a friend w/benes thing this summer the sex was more then great and we grew to be very close friends. I'd say this guy is my best guy friend. However now that I have met someone and am dating and sleeping with only my boyfriend the FWB guy is kinda down cause his daily hook up girl is no more. We'r still great friends but its kinda hard to ignore the fact that we just spent the last 6 months doing things I wouldn't even mention to a porn star. Much as I'd hate for him not to be a part of my life I do have a feeling that that day might be close. Its just impossible to move backwards or "un do" things that have been done. So I'd say aire on the side of caustion honey... have your fun but don't exspect it to be the same once you get into a real relationship with someone else.

It seems a lot of people are doing this now. I guess they feel it is safer. However, sometimes having a sexual relationship can ruin a good friendship. In any case, everyone one has needs, and if two close friends can satisfy each others needs, without conflict, I would say it is okay. I wonder though, that when you get into a serious relationship, what they would think of it, since you would obviously still be friends with your past sexual partner.

Depends on who's deciding (honestly) about it being strictly physical.

In theory, no, but it seems odd that close friends would have a strictly physical relationship. Doesn't the close already imply something deeper than that?

If you are already close friends, then you already have an emotional relationship, whether or not you address it. If you both enjoy just the physical aspect of it without drawing emotion into the equation, that's fine.

not at all as long as there are no true feelings involved. once feelings come into play its way to hard to maintain the just friends with a bonus game

yeah because one of you may start to develop feelings and will end up being crushed when one or the other just wanted it to remain strictly physical. it may ruin the friendship if feelings from either of you start to develop.

I don't think that there's anything wrong with it as long as it stays between the two of you and its not being used to cause gossip, cuz you wouldn't want to taint your name.
