PIP = picture in picture.

there are dual tuner PIP sets and single tuner PIP set. The single tuner PIP sets need another video source for the PIP. Dual tuners are exactly as the name implies two tuners.

PIP stands for "Plug In Play." Means you can plug in other items like dvd players, etc. and it will work with your television. They have PIP technology with computers and other electronics too.

It has Picture in Picture capability. Meaning you can watch one channel and have a smaller picture of a different channel in one of the corners of the screen. Example - If you're in the U.S. you could watch cartoons on the big screen and watch President Bush in the smaller one while he is addressing the nation. Cartoons / Bush ....both about the same. Clowns .....
