You can get married on whatever day that you want. We just went to a wedding that was on a Thursday, it was the anniversary of their meeting. The date symbolized something to them not the day of the week. The only problem with getting married on a weekday or Sunday is that most people have to work the next day and can leave the party early, but this could be a good thing too, since you would get to the honeymoon sooner!!!!

If you schedule your wedding on a Sunday & there are Sunday services being held at the church.................See?
But if you are having your wedding at a church that holds services on another day other than Sunday or at another venue, there is nothing that says you can't have your wedding then. In fact, Sunday weddings are gaining popularity as wedding expenses are less expensive.
You just need to find an officiant that is available.
Type into Yahoo your city, state & wedding officiant (no 's' on the end) You will have a few to choose from, usually on the 2nd page, as the BIG companies get top billing.

Yes you can get married on a Sunday. The most difficulty you may have is finding a church that isn't booked with service on a Sunday. Other than that, there's nothing to stop you.

Yes. You can get married any day you want. There is a catch though. Some places don't allow it in thier facilities. It makes finding a place to have your wedding a little more challenging. However, you will get a discount on a lot of things if you have it on a Sunday.

It used to be that you can't get married on a Sunday because it was considered "the Lord's day", and that marrying on a Sunday (or on a Friday or Saturday) would be bad luck to the marriage. However, don't let this old wives' tale deter you from marrying on your preferred day of the week.

Yes but some people dont like to b/c it's the "day of rest" and a lot of people have family activities planned... going to church that morning and evening being a main one. I wanted to get married on Sunday and the my mother and florist pointed something out to me that I didn't think about.. you might want to consider this... If something happens to your cake (falls, melts, etc) or your flowers (wilting, lost some, etc), or really anything major that happens, EVERYTHING is closed on Sundays so there's no way to fix last minute things. If something goes wrong on any other day of the week, there's usually people you can get in touch with to take care of it. I ended up changing my mind and going with Saturday but thats just me. Just thought I'd point that out. Congrats and good luck!

You don't say in which country you wish to get married. I would imagine it all depends. In Britain a religious priest, minister etc can carry out the marriage ceremony and complete the necessary documentation to fulfill the civil side. In most other countries, especially around Europe if you are having a religious ceremony you have to have the Civil Ceremony first. I imagine it would all depend on the country. I am from Scotland. In this area I haven't heard of any churches as in Church of Scotland, Free Church etc having Sun weddings I am not saying wedding aren't conducted in these churches, just I personally haven't heard of anyone having a Sun wedding there.. Roman Catholic Churches seem to do this more but it all depends on the view of the priest. I have also attended a Sun wedding in a hotel conducted by a Registrar.

Traditionally, in Christian churches, weddings took place on Saturdays and funerals on Fridays because the church was used all day Sunday for services (starting at dawn) and activities.
Also in this particular venue, in the old days it was considered to be disrespectful to show love to anyone but God on Sundays. So if you were getting married on a Sunday, you obviously couldn't give your heart over to God on that day.
These days of course, you can get married any day and at any time you choose.

Depends where you want to get married. For instance, I am getting married in the Caribbean but the resort says I can't marry on Sunday (cause the priest is busy at church). It should be okay though if you do it local :)
