I use a few spyware products that I view as reliable and are all 100% free. 1. Ad- Aware I view as the best. 2. Spybot searches for bots (checks for security issues on your OS) 3. Windows Defender- capible for real time protection, but doesn't catch as much spyware as Ad- Aware. 4. Norton Spyware Scanner provided with the Yahoo Toolbar.
Of these 4 I trust and use Ad-Aware the most and the others are just extra gravy that I have on my computer.

I've had great success with both of these. The AdWare free version does not automatically download updates but you can manually do it. Spybot does auto update.

go to free.grisoft.com and download their free anti spyware package. One of a number of good ones for free consumer use.
