What's with the "re-establishing" part of this question? As if the US isn't already a Christian nation, with Fundies and Gellies (evangelicals) shoving their believes down everyone's throats on a daily basis.

Further, if you want respect from the rest of the country, do not use your religious beliefs to create law. That's just wrong.

America is a Christian country.

Thank God that America isn't a Christian government.

This is a huge difference that most people just don't get, which is scary.

Faith and religion is too important for the stupid government to tell me anything about faith and religion. There should be lots more people in houses of worship, and there should be lots more faith and religion in the home, but nothing from government.

I think the most important way to re-establish America is to lead by example rather than pushing amendments on our people. When we try to take power and force people to amend by our values, we often take the role as hypocrites because we all fall short of our own laws.

In America the idea of church-state separation originated with Christians, so why should Christians want to undo it? Let them remember the reasons that their Christian forefathers enshrined that in the constitution. Those reasons still hold true.

Um, it would have to have been a christian nation first in order to "re-establish" it as such.
Considering the fact that the founding fathers made it clear that this country was in no way founded on the christian faith (See Treaty of Tripoli 1798 article 11), they'd have to go about ESTABLISHING it as a christian nation first. As a pagan, I'd fight with everything I had to stop that from happening.

The answer sounds so crazy, but it is the only way to do it. The whole Bible is summerized in one sentence: Love you neighbor as you love yourself. In this, the Law and Prophets are fulfilled.
Therefore to re-establish real Christianity, there are few unacceptable basics you have to enforce which may be the subject of a crazy laugh by many people:

1- Liberate all prisoners and release them to live their free life. Convert prisons to become Mental Institutions that are willing to cure any body who seek refuge in these establishments free of charge. Then enforce research to understand the mind of humans until the country becomes free of crime. You cannot blame the individual on his crime when the institution in which he lives causes him to divert to crime. Society as a whole is responsible to cure all criminals.

2- End Police work. No more police in the country. They are the ones behind crime growth. The Police departments become a place for mental research and other humanitarian establishment. Enforce a new law to make all citizens to become also policemen besides their normal work. Encourage the work of humanitarian or social workers who do not carry guns in lieu of police force.

3. End private insurance dominancy, and adopt free clinical treatment, hospitalization and medication.

4. End all kind of Discrimination and enforce human equality. All private schools must be converted to public schools that encourage free education to all who desire to learn.

5. Stop all kind of religious practices and rituals performed by people who claim to posses the absolute truth. Stop all practice of Churchianity, Catholicism, Islam and any other religions adopted by people who hide behind the name to express their selfishness and indecent practices. Those who wish to perform any religious ritual, let them do it at home and teach their children what good deeds they think they possess. Atheists and Evolutionists are also considered religious and are both included in practicing their religions only at home at their free will if they may choose to do.

5- Enforce only one Law among all inhabitants and citizens of the country, namely LOVE YOU NEIGHBOR AS YOU LOVE YOURSELF. Declare only God to be the Only Judge and He alone has the right to take away human life and to punish those who cannot love others until a cure is found!

That should do it!

why would you need an amendment? If God's law is just, people will follow it regardless of society's influence.
