yep, goodmans aren't a great tv, some say that they look nice.

If it's a under a year old, you can take it back to the shop you brought it from, it gets repaired free ( but you will be without a tv for a 1-2 weeks ).

If older then a year, then you will have to pay for the cost, which could be anything from £30-£100.

Try phoning goodmans up and ask if this is a common fault ( which it is ) and ask them how to do a check " over the phone ", therefore they can suss out what problem it is and give you a choice of what to do.

Pretty standard fault with many sets not just Goodmans.

This is a power supply fault Usually due to PSU capacitors drying out.
This can be repaired at a reasonable cost though to get the best price you will need to take the set to the engineers workshop.

My price on this in The west midlands would be £20 - £28

I advise you to ring around locally and get some idea of prices in your area

Ive got an idea that the power supply has failed probably due to Goodmans wonderful idea of using terrible electrolytic capacitors in their power supplies

This is a very common problem with Goodmans televisions.

It will cost more than the television is worth to get it repaired, I'm afraid.

Well you usually change a fuse if its blown.

Take it to a local TV Repair shop.
